The Friends of James Beard Chef Invitational at Sand Valley is a way to have a little unexpected fun while the midwestern winter melts away. We’re bringing together some of the best chefs in the Midwest for a weekend-long food affair that you simply cannot experience anywhere else. While you embark on a culinary journey, participate in a little friendly competition along the way. Join us in 2024 for a special weekend of food, fun, and fundraising.

FRIDAY, MARCH 1

Winter & Wellness Activities throughout
2:00 pm | Chef Demo
The Gallery, Tennis Center
Demo led by Amanda Rockman & Mindy Segal

THE 19th HOLE RECEPTION
6:00 pm
Aldo’s Farm & Table, Main Clubhouse
Chef-tasting stations with hors d'oeuvres and an open bar.
Fundraising will begin for the James Beard Foundation and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin

Enjoy live music.

SATURDAY, MARCH 2

Winter & Wellness Activities throughout
10:30 am & 1:30 pm | Chef Demos
Each chef demonstrates a home cooking technique in one of our custom Sand Valley residential settings.
Every guest is guaranteed a space in two demonstrations.

3:00 - 5:00 pm | Wine Tastings
JAMES BEARD CHEF’S TASTING DINNER
7:00 pm
Aldo’s Farm & Table, Main Clubhouse
Our chefs prepare a one-night-only multi-course tasting menu with wine pairings.

Post-Dinner Par-Tee!
Continue the evening with warm bourbon cocktails, dancing, and bonfires.
We’ll announce our competition winners!
