Trivia Night Rules and Regulations
• There will be 6 trivia categories/rounds with 10 questions per category.
· Teams will be comprised of 2-8 players – more players may be allowed – staff discretion
• Each team should designate a “recorder” to write down the team's answers. (There will be an envelope with the questions and an answer sheet handed out per round).
• The Emcee will announce the topic of the category at the beginning of each round. Once the category is announced the teams will have two songs to collaborate together and turn in their answers for that round.
• Bring your answer sheet up to the announcer at the end of each round
• After each round there will be a 10 minute break. During this time please feel free to go grab a drink or some food. Make it back before the 10 minutes is up or you will be unable to participate in the next round. Answers from each team will be scored and tallied by the trivia committee during this time. The committee has the final say. Once the break is over the emcee will announce the correct answer to each question before starting the next round.
• The scores will be updated after each round and will be announced after the correct answers are announced.
• After the final round, all final scores will be tallied and prizes awarded to the teams with the 2 highest scores of the evening – we may pay out three places – under staff discretion. In the event of a tie there will be a tie breaker round comprised of 5 questions.
• BE SPECIFIC WITH YOUR ANSWERS – NO HALF POINTS FOR PARTIAL ANSWERS.

Painting and Drawing for Pleasure
Painting can be a way to relax or a form of self-expression. Students will learn the basics of drawing as a foundation for painting and will have the opportunity to observe the instructor demonstrating multiple painting techniques. Students will be guided to select an individual project. The instructor will accommodate all levels of painting skills, from beginning to advanced, will help students with ideas for subject matter, composition, color, etc., and will encourage each student to develop their own painting style.

Advanced Painting and Drawing for Pleasure
In this course, students will explore color theory and the effect of light and shadow on the reference and on their design to get a more representative painting. This course will build on concepts learned in our introductory Painting and Drawing for Pleasure course.

AFMS 5th Grade Live Art Museum
The A-F Middle School 5th graders will be doing a Live Art Museum, with two opportunities to display their work. The first exhibit will be at A-F Middle School on April 24th at 1:30 PM, and the second will be at the Villa Pines Senior Home on May 1st at 10:00 AM.
All students will have a special role, including crew members, art handlers, tour guides, curators, dressed as famous artists and live paintings.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Sarah Hill at 608-339-4064, ext. 1305. Thank you to everyone for their support and I look forward to sharing this opportunity with the families and the community.
“I am very proud of all their hard work and what they have learned, and I cannot wait for them to showcase their amazing creations. The purpose of our project is to give students a more hands on approach which will be more engaging that will foster a deeper understanding and retention versus just a field trip to a real museum. The project has been a way for students to understand how a museum works, how art is displayed, how art is made, learn about several kinds of art movements, about the artists and understand how to break down a painting using the elements and principles of art. I hope you will join us to view the Live Art Museum.”

Acrylic Pour Painting
Acrylic pour painting combines colors into abstract cell-like patterns on the canvas to create unique artwork without the use of paintbrushes or pallet knifes. Students will learn how to mix color, use pouring medium, the importance of consistency, and how colors interact. Different pouring techniques will be demonstrated. Students will choose which style they would like to do for their personal project. At the end of class, each student will have their own one-of-a-kind finished work of art to enjoy. It takes several days for the paint to dry, so pieces will need to remain on campus for a few days. This 3-hour class is great for beginners and anyone interested in trying a new painting technique; basic materials will be provided.

Playgroup at Head Start
Wednesdays 9:30-11:30am at Adams County Family Resource Center. A loosely structured interaction time for ages 0-5. Child interaction, activities, healthy snacks.
